Position Overview:

You will work with the CMO and spearhead digital media efforts in this fast paced and entrepreneurial environment. You will develop and grow digital channels including SEO, PPC, display, affiliate, video, mobile, and social. This role is strategic but also needs a marketer with a start-up mentality and who is willing to be hands-on. Salary is $130-$150K, with a 10% bonus opportunity.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage the creation of media strategies that reach and engage qualified audience segments to action through highly targeted forms of online advertising
  • Responsible for development of staff who oversee the day-to-day media and search operations
    Focus on building processes, talent management assessments, and career development plans to grow and retain team members
  • Develop detailed forecasts and perform plans to achieve specific marketing objectives within specific budget parameters using substantiated assumptions for click-through, conversion rate, and other key media and audience engagement metrics
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with agency partners and publishers to ensure achievement of financial goals, brand objectives and ROI measures
  • Proactively manage the tracking, measurement, reporting, and analysis of all marketing metrics against defined performance targets
  • Analyze and interpret media and website performance data to provide management with recommendations for optimizing, extending and creating new programs
  • Collaborate with other marketing team members and other departments in overseeing projects and deadlines
  • Review competitive landscape, audience needs and online media trends to provide management with recommendations for best practices and competitive advantages that should be incorporated into company media and marketing strategies

Position Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience working in a digital marketing environment with a focus on lead generation and direct sales via the web
  • Demonstrated expertise in the planning, management and optimization of online advertising, paid search and SEO channels
  • Strong working knowledge of email marketing, affiliate marketing, social media and mobile marketing is preferred. Candidates must also have strong working knowledge and experience in traditional advertising, including print, radio, out of home and television
  • Demonstrated expertise in web analytics methodologies and tools, such as Google Analytics, Web Trends or Omniture
  • Ability to analyze large quantities of data and deduce implications for media, website and social engagement strategies
  • Ability to build and maintain good rapport with external vendors and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness
  • Self-starter and highly motivated. Must be able to work independently, yet collaboratively, within a fast-paced environment
